New Discount Payment question about registration deadlines You may register with a $100 deposit at anytime to reserve your place at camp. Your camp fee will still be dependant upon when your payment is received in full as outlined on the registration page. The earlier you pay in full the more you can save. As always, the number of campers at each event will be limited to insure the best possible learning experience so early registration is still a good idea. |
Oasis...
... is the longest running residential Oriental dance retreat in North America. Beginning in 1985 and now offering retreats worldwide, Oasis is dedicated to educating dancers in the art of Oriental Dance and its related folkloric forms from throughout the Arab world. We created a uniquely fun and supportive environment, often tried but never duplicated! Lead by internationally acclaimed dance artist, Casssandra Shore, artistic director of the Jawaahir Dance Company and resident instructor since the beginning, with many special guest artists through the years including Kay Campbell, Habiba, Amel Tafsout, Denise Enan, Sahra Saeeda, Zahra Zuhair and many others who have shared focused expertise in a kaleidoscope of folk and regional dance styles.
Oasis 2012 will become a Cassandra Intensive.
Cassandra will teach all classes for the entire camp. Mornings she will focus on dance technique and in the afternoons she will teach two choreographies. For twenty-eight years everyone has left Oasis wanting more Cassandra - now we will have more, maybe enough to last until the next year.
There are some big changes in registration deadlines. Please don’t assume anything - check the new registration form. We have not changed the quality of Oasis, you will receive the absolutely best dance instruction and education from absolutely the best teacher and dance educator in our field, Cassandra.
